10 Years after Hurricane Katrina: The Untold Story of Dialysis Patients

On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina made landfall in the Gulf Coast and left a path of destruction in its wake. While authorities had been tracking the storm long before it hit, few predicted its intensity or the devastation it would cause. Much of the medical community, like so many others, was caught unprepared. As hospital and local clinics lost power or flooded, tens of thousands of patients needed care and did not have anywhere to receive it.

Frenova participated in the Medical Heroes Appreciation Walk while exhibiting at the Drug Information Association (DIA) Annual Meeting. The event was organized by the non-profit organization, The Center For Information & Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP) to celebrate the people who give the gift of participation in clinical research. Flanagan Selected to Join ACRP Ethics Committee

Brigid Flanagan, Frenova director of clinical development, has been appointed to the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) Ethics Committee. The ACRP Ethics Committee is responsible for maintaining the leadership and standards of professional conduct and ethics within ACRP. The committee also periodically drafts and publishes Guidelines for Professional Conduct (“Guidelines”) for ACRP members. As a member of Frenova’s leadership team, Brigid works diligently for the benefit of patients, and her experience in clinical study conduct is a great asset for the ACRP committee.
