Having worked in hemodialysis clinics since 1980, then moving into the renal research world in 2004, you could most certainly say my passion lies within this field and making life a little easier/better for this patient population.

Frenova has given me amazing opportunities to work in several different capacities highlighting my strengths, while offering classes and webinars to grow my career, to help become a better leader.

Due to the vast research experience, I have gained during my 5 years with Frenova, I am able to mentor and train others wanting to join our dedicated team to help improve the lives of our patients.

Joining the team at Frenova has given me the opportunity to return to my first love... Research. I began my journey in 1991 as a Clinical Research Coordinator. After a few years, it was important to continue my education and career in Nursing, earning my Bachelor of Science.  Once completed, I began working in intensive care and trauma units which gave me the opportunity to appreciate having real-time impact on the quality of life for those I helped. In 2016, I joined Fresenius Medical Care in hopes of improving the lives of chronically ill patients. By 2017, I was able to make a difference on an even larger scale, by returning to research and beginning my Frenova career as a Clinical Research Coordinator and most recently Site Operations Manager.  

At Frenova, I have been able to learn many new approaches to kidney care in all stages of the disease process and draw upon skills learned throughout my career.  Research in Nephrology often brings hope where there is no hope. Frenova’s team is supportive, collaborative and encouraging, providing an atmosphere not only for our patients to thrive but also those that work at Frenova.

I wanted to be involved in clinical trials after finishing my undergraduate school and was fortunate to join Frenova in 2009. Working with the company exposed me to a population of patients with kidney disease, and I gained knowledge in many new therapeutic approaches in nephrology, I had the privilege to work with dedicated physicians and research professionals focused on the patient needs and desires. As Sir William Osler once said, “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.” I was given the opportunity to wear many hats and advance my career from being a clinical research coordinator, clinical research associate, research site liaison, clinical site support manager, to the manager of research site operations. And through the guidance and support from our leadership team, these invaluable experiences have strongly contributed to my development, professionally and personally, as a dedicated and compassionate individual. 

Throughout my career, my mission has been to support and promote research with one goal in mind: to treat/eradicate disease and human suffering by offering patients the latest and most effective treatments while offering kindness, a positive attitude and hope. I look forward to being a valuable contributor in the team, working towards the common goal of providing superior patient care.
